Refund Policy

One-time purchase. No refund after access. Last updated 19 September 2026.

This Refund Policy is part of the Terms & Conditions for End of Life Planner. How we handle personal information is in the Privacy Policy.

1. What you are buying

The planner is a one-time digital purchase. Access starts as soon as Polar confirms payment. There is no subscription and no free trial of the paid planner. The marketing site, including how it works and pricing, is free to read before you pay.

By paying, you ask us to start the Service immediately. If a consumer-withdrawal right would otherwise apply, we ask you at checkout to separately consent to immediate supply and acknowledge the effect on that right. If the law requires a different process or outcome, that law controls.

2. No refund once access is granted

Except for a documented billing error or where required by law, purchases are non-refundable once access is granted following the required immediate-supply acknowledgement. The planner, vault, sharing, check-in, and export are digital goods delivered when your account is unlocked. A PDF, print, or encrypted pack is a copy you keep even if the account later closes.

These are not grounds for a refund:

  • You changed your mind, or did not finish the plan
  • You are unhappy with optional assist suggestions
  • You did not use sharing, the vault, or check-in
  • You lost a passphrase or an export you already downloaded
  • You expected a will, legal advice, or a HIPAA service

If we do issue a refund (including one required by law), it is processed through Polar and we revoke planner access. Copies you already made stay your responsibility.

3. Billing errors

If you think Polar charged you twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged you after a valid refund, email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. We will review legitimate errors. That is not a cooling-off period for the purchase itself.

4. Chargebacks

Contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank or Polar. If you open a chargeback without contacting us first, we may revoke access, contest the dispute with evidence that the Service was delivered, and refuse future purchases.

5. Required by law

Where a refund is strictly required by consumer law, we will comply. We may reduce the amount for value already received (including access granted and any export) where the law allows, and we may revoke access.

6. Goodwill

We may offer a refund or replacement access as a courtesy for a documented outage, Polar failure, or similar problem we caused. That is not a cash right, does not set a precedent, and is at our sole discretion.

7. Contact

Billing: [email protected]. Include the email on the account. Polar’s checkout terms also apply. Vendors involved in payment are listed on the sub-processors page.
